How to Become a Member?
The new corporation has two membership categories: corporate and individual.
What is a Corporate Member?
Any municipality, institution, or organization that is interested in promoting the mission and goals of the corporation, and that pays, as the case may be, membership dues for the current year. Such members have the right to speak and vote at meetings.
Corporate members shall designate a representative by resolution or credentials given to the secretary-treasurer of the corporation.
What is an Individual Member?
Any person who is interested in promoting the goals of the corporation. Individual members may be present and vote at members' meetings, and are eligible for a position on the board of directors.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of directors, composed of seven members, as follows:
a) One corporate member designated by the corporate member electoral body composed of host towns;
b) One corporate member designated by the corporate member electoral body composed of bookstores;
c) One corporate member from the corporate member that is the Réseau BIBLIO Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine;
d) One corporate member designated by the corporate member electoral body composed of the French-speaking school boards;
e) One corporate member designated by the electoral body composed of the corporate members of the English-speaking community;
f) One individual member or one (1) corporate member from an electoral body other than those listed from A to D, elected at a general meeting of the members;
g) One member designated by the board of directors.
The regional event coordinator shall automatically participate in board meetings. The corporation, as much as possible, shall ensure fair gender, linguistic (French, English, Mi'gmaq), and geographic representation.
Only members duly accepted by the board, in accordance with the membership rules set out in these by-laws, and having been members for at least 30 days, are eligible to sit on the corporation's board of directors.
The board shall be supported by a steering committee, having, besides the board members, representatives of the local committees and the authors.
